John Mastal
Managing Director, Capital Markets
John Mastal is a Managing Director of Capital Markets, leading Redbrick LMD’s investor relations, capital raise and stakeholder engagement efforts in the Mid-Atlantic region. He is an accomplished financial services professional with expertise working with family offices, RIA’s, institutional and individual investors.
Prior to joining Redbrick, John was a Co-Founder and Chief of Capital Markets of Marlinspike Capital, a merchant bank/venture capital fund vehicle that raised over $130 million with a focus on Family Offices and RIA’s. Previously, he was Vice President for Weller Development, a single family office focused firm based in Baltimore, MD where he raised $200 million of capital for one of the largest Opportunity Zone real estate developments in the United States. Prior to that, he worked for Pathstone Family Office as a senior business development officer to single family offices and multi-family offices nationwide. He was also a director of leasing at Vornado Realty Trust that leased over seven million square feet of office space in Crystal City, VA. He began his career at Merrill Lynch and Friedman, Billings & Ramsey in institutional sales and brokerage after serving in the US Army and the US Army Reserves.
He is involved in several Veteran nonprofits to serve our wounded and injured service members and their families.
John graduated from The University of Richmond with a BA in economics and communications. He also earned baseball and Army ROTC scholarships. He also holds the Series 7 and 63 securities licenses.
