Our Story
Our philosophy is simple – connect investor capital to compelling real estate development projects with sustainability, economic opportunities, and health and wellness features that far exceed other buildings in the DC metropolitan area. We are one of the largest private landowners in Washington, DC, with a development pipeline of approximately 8 million square feet, including 4 million square feet in opportunity zones.
We believe responsible development and value creation are complementary goals.

Sustainability
We believe a focus on sustainability creates both a clean environment and long-term value for our buildings. Today Redbrick has over 10 buildings under design, development or construction that will be built to a Zero-Carbon standard and are pursuing International Living Future Institute (ILFI) and LEED Platinum certification – all of which are located in Ward 8 of Washington DC, placing DC on the map as a leader in reducing carbon emissions. Redbrick is currently under construction on the largest multifamily building in the world to seek Net Zero certification according to ILFI.
Decarbonization in a Redbrick project begins with a holistic approach to optimize the design, construction and operational systems while pushing the envelope on a reduction-first approach. We evaluate, utilize and track construction materials and techniques with a goal of reducing embedded carbon emissions by more than 30%. Employing state of the art energy systems in our buildings is expected to result in more than 40% less operational energy than the 2021 DC multifamily median, as reported by DC Building Energy Performance benchmarking.
