Redbrick LMD is proud to have been selected twice as the master developer of St. Elizabeth’s East, a 183-acre campus that includes portions of a former mental health facility established by Congress in the 1850s.
It is located in the Congress Heights neighborhood of Ward 8 in Washington DC which today is experiencing the highest employment growth in DC (let’s try to source this or substantiate).
Redbrick LMD has worked closely with community stakeholders to plan and build density and needed uses in this historic neighborhood that has largely been underserved. To date, Redbrick LMD has delivered a community hub with gathering spaces and restaurants, centered on local Black-owned businesses; a medical service building to expand the availability of medical care; and for-sale residences with an affordable housing component.
