Sam Kelly brings over a decade of experience in advisory and alternative investments, with a focus on building long-term investor partnerships. Known for his relationship-driven approach, Sam plays a key role in expanding Redbrick LMD’s capital base.
Prior to joining Redbrick LMD, Sam worked at a family office, where he specialized in capital raising, M&A advisory, and structuring innovative investment vehicles across real estate, sports, and healthcare. This cross-sector experience has given him a strong foundation in aligning capital formation strategies with both investor objectives and long-term growth.
Outside of work, Sam enjoys mentoring, exploring new restaurants, and building communities around sports and wellness.
Grant Johnson has ten years of experience in acquisition, entitlement, development, asset management, and financing across several asset classes including multifamily, single-family, retail, office, lodging, and land. At Redbrick LMD, Grant focuses on the development of the Navy Yard and Bridge District, as well as overseeing development underwriting across Redbrick’s portfolio.
Prior to joining Redbrick, Grant was a Director of Development & Investment for EDENS, where he was involved in the development of over 2.1 million square feet of mixed-use assets at Union Market in Washington, DC and the acquisition of over 2.3 million square feet of mixed-use development sites around the country. Previously, Grant worked as an Associate at Freddie Mac Multifamily and as a Project Manager at Natelli Homes.
Grant received a Bachelor of Science degree in Real Estate and Finance from The University of South Carolina.
Benjamin Reznick supports Redbrick LMD’s development and construction activities, with a focus on financial analysis, underwriting, and project management. Prior to joining Redbrick LMD, Benjamin's experience includes working in Industrial Capital Markets at Colliers and in DoD Real Estate Advisory at JLL. In his free time, he enjoys playing tennis, traveling, and cooking.
Benjamin holds a Bachelor of Science in Business with a Real Estate Concentration and a minor in Political Science from The George Washington University.
Andrew Faett has 8 years of experience in commercial and residential construction in the DC Metro Area. At Redbrick LMD, Andrew assists the construction team on all aspects of Preconstruction and Construction of Redbrick LMD’s projects in the Washington D.C. area.
Prior to joining Redbrick, Andrew worked as a Project Manager for Clark Construction and May Reigler Properties leading construction management and preconstruction efforts of multiple commercial and residential and buildings totaling over $300 million.
Andrew holds a B.S. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Lafayette College.
Edson joined Redbrick in 2025 as an Associate on the Finance & Investments team. Before joining Redbrick, Edson was part of the real estate equity investments team at CIM Group. Prior to that, he was at JM Zell Partners, where he focused on commercial real estate advisory and investments. Edson holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BA in Economics from the University of Maryland, College Park.
Austin joined Redbrick in 2025 as head of Debt Capital Markets & Portfolio Management. With over 15 years of experience in institutional commercial real estate investments and capital markets, Austin has a proven track record of structuring and executing large-scale, complex debt and equity strategies.
In this role, among other efforts, he is primarily focused on Redbrick’s financing strategies, cultivating capital relationships, and collaborating with our various teams and stakeholders to optimize capital structures and enhance portfolio flexibility by strengthening our ability to execute various strategic, long-term investments that align with our thematic, decarbonization approach to real estate.
Austin was previously with affiliates of PNC Bank (PNC Realty Investors and PNC Real Estate Banking) for over 10 years in acquisitions and capital markets roles and has also held positions with GKC Capital Advisors and US Bancorp Commercial Real Estate.
Austin holds degrees from the University of Texas at Arlington and Georgetown University.
Nia Newsome supports the Capital Markets team. Focused on assisting in providing exceptional operational experiences for Redbrick investors, Wealth Management Partners, and other Stakeholders. Prior to joining Redbrick, Nia, was an Analyst at The Carlyle Group responsible for internal co-investment operations, responsible for employee loan programs, managing a high-volume investor queue and day to day operations.
Nia earned her bachelor’s degree in criminology and criminal justice from the University of Maryland, College Park.
Freda Stewart is an accomplished Executive Assistant and Event Planner with over 20 years of experience supporting high-level executives and orchestrating seamless events with professionalism and creativity. She is a native Washingtonian and pursued a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Strayer University.
Freda also has a proven track record in administrative management, meeting coordination, and confidential executive support across government, corporate, and nonprofit sectors. With expertise in relationship-building, logistics, and strategic planning, Freda excels in driving efficiency and delivering exceptional experiences. Prior to joining Redbrick, she was an Executive Assistant at the US Department of Veterans Affairs.
Michael Meyer has over twenty years of experience in multifamily and commercial real estate asset management. In his current role at Redbrick LMD, Michael is focused on the lease up and operation of the Bridge District and along with all other Redbrick properties.
Prior to joining Redbrick LMD, Michael was an Associate Vice President of Asset Management for MRP Realty, where he was involved in the acquisition, development and lease-up of multiple residential, retail, and office assets across the Washington, DC metropolitan area. At MRP, his primary responsibilities included lease-up, overseeing property management, asset management and interacting with JV partners and other stakeholders. Previously, Michael worked at other Mid-Atlantic based multifamily and commercial real estate firms.
Michael received a bachelor’s in sciences with a concentration in finance from Boston College
Giuliana has over 5 years of accounting experience in the DC commercial real estate industry. Prior to joining Redbrick LMD, Giuliana was the Accounting Manager at Easterly Government Properties, a publicly traded REIT, where she supervised a team of property accountants covering an 24-building portfolio of highly specialized commercial office space leased to various U.S Government agencies.
She began her career at PwC where she audited manufacturing and financial services clients. Giuliana received her MBA from University of Iowa and B.S. in Accounting from West Virginia University and is a licensed CPA.
David Patterson has several years of experience in real estate acquisitions and investment banking. At Redbrick LMD, he leads the investments team and is focused on the firm’s underwriting, acquisition, disposition, and capital structure development efforts. Prior to his current role, David worked as an Associate for Bridge Investment Group where he acquired and developed industrial assets. Additionally, he was an Investment Banking Associate at both Truist Securities and Johnsen, Fretty & Co, where he advised real estate and media companies through M&A, LBO, and equity / debt transactions.
David has an MBA from UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School and a BS in Finance from George Mason University.
Carter Steuart supports Redbrick LMD’s efforts in underwriting development projects, fund level analysis, and corporate financial analysis. Prior to joining the firm, he gained valuable real estate experience as an intern at Greysteel, JBG Smith, and Paradigm Companies. Carter received his B.S.B.A from the Darla Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina where he majored in Real Estate.
Daniel McGee is a Senior Development Associate and Director of Sustainability focusing on development execution of The Bridge District and portfolio-wide energy strategies. His core values strongly align with Redbrick LMD’s vision of shaping a truly sustainable built environment. Daniel’s background is in mechanical HVAC design with technical experience in healthcare, museums, artifact preservation, and data centers. In the DC area he has designed mechanical systems for The Museum of the Bible, The World Bank Headquarters, and Virginia Hospital Center.
Daniel holds an integrated Bachelor and Master of Architectural Engineering from Penn State, and an MBA from Georgetown University. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in DC, with a focus in HVAC & Refrigeration.
Shauna Powers oversees the general project and fund level accounting function. She also supports all aspects of financial analysis, treasury, and investor reporting. In this role, she is focused on implementing and maintaining operational policies and procedures to ensure compliance and support company growth.
Prior to joining Redbrick LMD, Shauna was the Property Accounting Manager at Easterly Government Properties, a publicly traded REIT, where she supervised and trained a team of property accountants covering an 80-building portfolio of highly specialized commercial office space leased to various U.S Government agencies.
She began her career at Baker Tilly where she audited and advised real estate private equity investment funds and partnerships. Mrs. Powers received her M.S and B.S, magna cum laude, in Accounting and Information Systems from Virginia Tech and is a licensed CPA.
